A 102-year-old Nigerian lady, Nonye Josephine Ezeanyaeche, aka ‘dwelling legend’ or “Mama Africa’ has declared her intentions to run for the president of Nigeria in 2023.
Ezeanyaeche hails from Aguata, Anambra state, and is the founding father of the ‘Voice for Senior Residents of Nigeria’ group.
Ezeanyaeche declares her intention when she paid a courtesy go to to the administration staff of the Nigerian Tv Authority, NTA, that she is able to contest for the primary place if the youthful generations of the nation usually are not prepared.
Caro Nwosu, president of the group quoted Ezeanyaeche was quoted by Sahara Reporters as saying
“If Nigerians are shying away from political participation, she says she is able to contest. She has already ready a manifesto for herself. She has the imaginative and prescient. If the great ones don’t come out to contest…”
The aged lady acknowledged the Nwosu’s assertion as she mentioned in Igbo, “In case you have a male or feminine youngster, attempt to practice them to surpass your individual achievements.”
She is claimed to have obtained many awards for her contributions to humanity and nation-building, together with the African Peace Award, 2021.
She joins an extended listing of people who’ve to date declared curiosity to run for the place in 2023.
