Singleton Clay Target Club sadly advises of the passing of long-time club member Ollie Lighezzolo who passed away peacefully in the early hours of Tuesday morning 11/10/22.
Ollie will be sadly missed around the club he was a constant smiling face, and enjoyed our great sport well into his 80’s. Even having a shot after his 90th Birthday.
Many a scorer learnt not to call any of Ollie’s targets lost until they actually hit the ground, as in his later years he was very capable of breaking clays with a second barrel shot 3 feet off the grass at the 48-meter peg when many a scorer would have thought that target well and truly lost.
Ollie was always involved in the club committee; he donated not only countless hours of his time to the sport but also the funding to install both the ball trap and skeet layouts at the club.
