
San Bernardino Shooting – According to investigators, the man who was fatally shot in Hawaiian Gardens over the weekend lived in San Bernardino. According to the coroner’s office, 39-year-old Carlos Alvarez Diaz passed away in a car. At 1:09 a.m. on Saturday, deputies went to a report of shots fired at the junction of Norwalk Boulevard and 226th Street, where they discovered the victim, who has since been identified as Diaz, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau. A few yards east, in the 22300 block of Wareham Avenue, on a residential sidewalk, the two victims were discovered with gunshot wounds.
During the shooting, a second man was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. There was no information on his health. Suspect information was also not available Tuesday.
