She was a resident of Sussex, England where she played hockey for South of England U-16, U-18, and U-21 after playing field hockey for Burgress Hill School as captain. Tilly Brampton also played for Staines Hockey Club in the National League and won two titles.
Later she enrolled herself at Boston College where she played 18 games in 2010 and end the season with one assist and two goals.
