Television Executive Brian Walsh Australia Passed Away
Walsh started his career with ABC, and after that, he was moving into feature film production and distribution at Palm Beach Pictures at radio station 2SM in Sydney.
Later, he joined the Ten Network where he started to take most decisions in 1985
After working at an early age in radio 2SM, Brian joined Network Ten where he began to launch major network events, including the praised Kennedy Miller series ‘Vietnam’, ‘The Dirtwater Dynasty’ and ‘The Bangkok Hilton’.
It is with heavy hearts that AACTA acknowledge the passing of one of Australia’s most distinguished television producers, Brian Walsh.
Brian was a dearly loved member of our AFI/AACTA family for over twenty five years and an AACTA Board member since 2016.

Walsh was a genius under his guidance, the series of Neighbours reshaped and gathered success from the globe which showed his geniuses.
Brian also took credit with Passanatily for the international success of the iconic Australian family drama series, ‘Neighbours’ and for launching the careers of Jason Donovan and Guy Pearce.

He helped to build the careers of stars such as Huge Jackman, Kylie Minogue, Nicole Kidman and Jason Donovan. Many celebrities were in mourning when they heard about his death news because they all were his admirer.
Walsh joined Australia’s Foxtel where he helped to build the subscription television.
He also established Australia Rugby League’s iconic ‘Simply the Best ‘ marketing campaign where featuring singer Tina Turner in the 1990s.

Recently, he was working as an executive place at the company, overseeing and managing the development of original dramas.
Many celebrities show their tribute on social media. He was one of the creative TV channel leaders in Australia.
He also acted as a journalist for the Australian concert tours of megastars, Neil Diamond, Michael Jackson, Ricky Martin, Mariah Carey and Barbra Streisand.
