Alexei Pavlovich Tezikov (Russian: Алексей Павлович Тезиков; June 22, 1978 – July 16, 2020) was a Russian professional ice hockey defenceman who played in the National Hockey League with the Washington Capitals and Vancouver Canucks.
The AHL is saddened to learn that former All-Star defenseman Alexei Tezikov passed away Thursday at the age of 42. Tezikov played 183 games in the AHL with @AmerksHockey Portland, Cincinnati and the @ManitobaMoose between 1998 and 2002.

Former @Capitals and @Canucks player Alexei Tezikov, 42, suddenly passed away on July 16. Tezikov felt ill on the street, and died before the arrival of the ambulance crew, without regaining consciousness.
