
A 26-year-old University of Georgia student from Loganville died Wednesday when the vehicle she was driving ran into the back of a trash truck stopped on the side of the road while collecting trash in McDuffie County, Ga. The accident happened at around 1 p.m.

According Franka Young, public information coordinator with Georgia Department Public Safety, Amy Janvier, 26, was driving a white SUV south on GA 10. She was approaching Huntington Road in the right lane when she ran into the back of a trash truck that was stopped in the right lane collecting trash from the roadside. The collision resulted in her death.
The trash truck was driven by Rodney Hines, 43, of Evans. He was not injured.
Young said the report is not yet complete. The victim’s body has been sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s medical examiners for an autopsy.
