Two people at Elizabeth Shelton School tested positive for the coronavirus, but the school will stay open.
Two “community members” tested positive, Interim Superintendent Beth Smith said in an email to the school community.
“Consistent with this guidance, and in consultation with our local public health experts and medical advisor, the administration has directed those in close contact with the individual who tested positive for COVID-19 to self-quarantine for 14 days from the time of contact,” Smith said in the email.
Separately, three Shelton Public School employees, including one high school staff member were told to self-quarantine and are awaiting coronavirus test results.
