So very sorry to know that Arlene lost her battle. She was so knowledgeable and helpful each time I worked with her on analyses of faunal materials from our British 18th century sites in New Smyrna Beach and Edgewater. Her work with us was so very helpful in understanding the diets of the colonists who were brought over from Europe and Mediterranean countries by Dr. Andrew Turnbull to work on his huge Smyrnea Settlement land grant.
