Bernard Trink, a memorable figures in the long history of the Bangkok Post, has passed away today, Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the age of 89.
Bernard Trink was born in New York in 1931, Trink came to Bangkok in the mid-1960s and taught English at various universities before taking over the “Nite Owl” column in 1966 at the now defunct Bangkok World, an evening English-language newspaper.
David is an excellent writer and manager, with many years of experience as a journalist, editor and leader within the publishing industry; coordinating teams, overseeing design, content and commercial activity, and acting as an ambassador.
He is survived by his wife and two children, a son and daughter.
Cause of Death
Bernard Trink had been ill and was being treated at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, where he died of a blood infection on Tuesday night, his wife Aree Trink said.
