MANHATTAN, NY (WABC) — Beware!

SantaCon will return to Manhattan on Saturday after last year’s pandemic canceled the annual holiday bar crawl.

The event began at 11:00 a.m. on 40th Street and Broadway.

Organizers are encouraging participants to follow the city’s vaccine requirements.

On the other hand, the MTA plays a part in preventing things from becoming “festive”.

“Some of the riders are returning to the train for the first time since the pandemic began,” said MTA Police Chief Joseph McGrand. “It is important to do everything we can to maintain an orderly trip so that everyone can enjoy their vacation planning by reaching their destination easily and on time.”

The agency bans alcohol on the Long Island Railroad and Metro-North Railroad and platforms as of Sunday afternoon.

Additional MTA officers will seize liquor and give tickets to mischievous saints who violate the rules.
