Braeden Collins Missing Update – Braeden Collins, a 18 yr old man has been declared missing over the weekend, by his mother. The missing person features such as height, weight, color, shape and physique is still unknown.
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is looking for answers now that a missing person’s case has turned into a homicide investigation.
-Sheriff Jason Chenault says this is a very sad case as they are pretty sure, a burned body found inside a burned vehicle is that of 18 year old Braeden Collins.
-They are waiting on the medical examiner’s office for confirmation.
-The Sheriff says Collins went to a party in the Woodall area, between Tahlequah and Fort Gibson Saturday night and got into an altercation with some people at the party and he left intoxicated around 3:30 AM and crashed near S 490 and W 813 Road.
-He says Collins called some family members, asking them to pick him up at a nearby convenience store, but he never showed.
-The sheriff says when a deputy was in the area, investigating, he saw an abandoned drive-way that had recent tire tracks on it and followed it to an abandoned house and that’s when the deputy saw the burned SUV and body inside.
-The Sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information about this party or what happened to Collins or who was involved, to call 918-456-2583.
