'King Of Memphis Radio' Bobby O'Jay Dies iHeartRadio Confirms

SHELBY COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Bobby O’Jay, generally known as the King of Memphis radio, has handed away, based on a launch from iHeartMedia Market President Kevin Klein.

Klein confirmed the information Tuesday morning.

Memphis radio DJ Bobby O’Jay inducted into Tennessee Radio Corridor of Fame, studies Fox13.

O’Jay was born in Batesville, Miss., in 1953.

In February of 1983, he got here to work in Memphis, to WDIA, a historic station.

He was a member of the Tennessee Radio Corridor of Fame.
