Tim Montressor was the founder of ICC, he was also a Paintball Player. Tim has been a fixture within paintball for close to 20 years now and his influence transcended many parts of the sport and game we share in common. Tim’s passion for paintball and overwhelming positivity was infectious and inspired those around him to not only do what they love, but to do it better and to the best of their ability.
Tim was a loyal player and stayed with the team through some ups and downs until it was dissolved when Smart Parts, their main sponsor, was forced out of business. He then played with one of their arch-rivals Aftershock before playing on Impact, Dynapact, Houston Heat and settling in to play on Tampa Bay Damage for the last several years. Tim guested for numerous teams, often out of the country, which gave him the amazing opportunity to travel all over the world almost every weekend for fun, competition and work.
He died on June 22, 2020. His cause of death is still unknown. We will update you as soon as we have more information about his death.
This won't mean much to anyone outside the sport, but the paintball world took an absolute gut punch today w/ the unexpected death of Tim Montressor. Can't even begin to guess how many players he brought into or back to paintball by organizing the Iron City Classic
