Jay Lehman Death | Jay Lehman Obituary – Junior Ezra Lehman was born on April 21, 1929, he grew up in rural Kidron and attended a one-room schoolhouse. He died on July 26, 2020.
Lehman had little schooling past the eighth grade, yet he obtained a vast knowledge of the world through traveling. He volunteered in Europe after World War II.
He later spent a decade living in West and East Africa as a travel agent for church and secular groups. He also spent a year in France organizing the Mennonite World Conference in Strasbourg, the obituary noted.
His daughter called him a “real newshound” who kept up with current events. An avid sports fan, he rooted for the Cleveland Indians and attended a home game last summer.
The family will hold a private funeral service later this week. A celebration of his life will be planned for the future when the concerns of the coronavirus pandemic have passed.
