Kevin Greene Death – Obituary : Kevin Greene, the 1984 SEC Defensive Player of the Year and Zeke Smith Award winner, has passed away. He died on December 21, 2020. According to report.

Greene was a mainstay for the Tigers at linebacker from 1983-84 after walking on to the team. In his senior season, he led the SEC with 11 sacks.

Drafted in the fifth round in 1985 by the Los Angeles Rams, Greene went on to a long career in the NFL, playing for five teams from 1985-1999. He earned NFL Defensive Player of the Year honors in 1996, made five Pro Bowl rosters and was named First-Team All-Pro three different times.

Greene was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2016. Kevin Greene death was announced across social media earlier today.

Hall of Fame pass-rusher Kevin Greene has passed away at the age of 58. His 160 sacks are the 3rd-most all-time, and the most of any linebacker. Of his 160 sacks, 97.5 of them came after he turned 30 years old.
