Real Madrid has confirmed that captain, Sergio Ramos, has been diagnosed with tendinosis of the semimembranous muscle of his left leg ahead of the team’s home LaLiga clash with Sevilla on Sunday at Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano.
Real Madrid made this known in a statement on their official website on Saturday.
Zinedine Zidane’s side head to the game following a 2-0 defeat against Chelsea in the Champions League semi-final second-leg tie last Wednesday.
The Los Blancos are currently in the second position on the LaLiga table with 74 points from 34 games.
The statement read, “After the tests carried out on our player Sergio Ramos by Real Madrid’s Medical Services, he was diagnosed with tendinosis of the semimembranous muscle of his left leg. Pending evolution.”
The kick-off time for Real Madrid vs Sevilla is 8 pm.
