Patrick Tedford Alamogordo NM – Pedestrian who died on Tuesday in El Paso TX Fatal Vehicle Collision has been identified has Patrick Tedford.

Patrick Tedford from Alamogordo, New Mexico has passed away after he was pinned in between a fifth wheel RV and a vehicle. He died at the age of 65 years old on the July 7, 2020.

El Paso police said Patrick Tedford, 65, and his passenger, Javanna Tedford, 63, were driving on Gateway South Blvd just before 1 p.m. Tuesday when another driver alerted them an item was hanging from the bumper of their vehicle.

Patrick Tedford stopped his pickup truck, which was towing a fifth wheel RV, in a lane of traffic in the 11300 block of Gateway South Blvd. between Kenworthy Street and Sean Haggerty Drive.

Patrick Tedford then exited his vehicle to inspect the issue and was standing behind the fifth wheel RV’s bumper when a vehicle driven by Jayden Martin, 18, collided into the RV, according to police.

Police said Patrick Tedford was pinned between Martin’s vehicle and the fifth wheel RV.

Patrick Tedford was taken to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on arrival, police said.

Martin was taken to University Medical Center with injuries and is listed as stable, according to police.

Javanna Tedford was not injured, police said.

El Paso police investigators said driver inattention is believed to be a main contributing factor in the crash.

Patrick Tedford’s death marks the 44th traffic-related death of the year, compared to 35 at the same time in 2019, police said.
