Police tape off Mytholmroyd park after serious Bank Holiday sex attack

Police sealed off a park in Calderdale as officers investigated a reported sexual assault.

West Yorkshire Police mentioned the incident had been reported to have occurred in a park in Mytholmroyd, close to Hebden Bridge. A police spokesman mentioned it occurred on Easter Monday night.

The spokesman added: “Police are investigating following a report of an alleged critical sexual offence in Mytholmroyd.

“The incident is reported to have occurred in a park off Midgley Street within the night of Monday 18 April. The sufferer is being supported by specifically educated officers whereas enquiries stay ongoing.”

The age and gender of the alleged sufferer haven’t been disclosed by police.
