Richard Wayne “Dick” Langdon Death Dead – Richard Wayne “Dick” Langdon Obituary: Cause of Death
Richard Wayne “Dick” Langdon, age 75, of Moberly, passed away from cardiac failure on July 16, 2020, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. He was born Feb. 13, 1945, to Elbert and Irene Stevens Langdon in East St. Louis, IL.
Richard was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany in the 1960s. After his discharge from the Army, he was employed by machinery manufacturer Allis-Chalmers in Kansas City. He then became a skilled heavy equipment operator and a member of Kansas City Local 101, a division of the International Union of Operating Engineers, and worked for several years at the coal mines near Moberly.
In 1974, Richard moved to Arkansas. He spent many years between Arkansas and Missouri before settling back in the Moberly area. Richard built custom trikes from Volkswagen parts and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, a love he shared with his son and his nephew. Richard is remembered as a free spirit who didn’t like to stay in one place too long and was known to many as The Bird.
Richard is survived by his former spouse, one son, two daughters, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one niece, friends, and family.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Kenneth and Robert Langdon, and his nephew Stanley.
