Roger Simon Death – Dead: Roger Simon Obituary, Cause of Death | With very heavy hearts, we share that our own Roger Simon passed away Sunday evening unexpectedly.
It has taken a few days for words to come together to be able to honor Roger’s life. He was a man of many hats and he wore them all very well. The most amazing father, grandfather, brother, boss, and mentor helping anyone and everyone that needed it.
He was a strong advocate for all motorsports, especially here in Farley. He stepped up to save dirt track racing in Farley and played an important role in what we have built here at 300 Raceway.
He was very proud of the truck and tractor pulling events that were going to be happening here this year, and spent his last days with his boys hauling dirt in to get it all ready. He loved his family dearly, as a father to 4 and grandpa to 13.
He was also loved by his staff at all of the businesses he owned, and was always the one with a quick wit making any bad day a good one. Things will be very different around here for everyone for a while, but Roger’s legacy will live on through his family and Simon Sez Motorsports, and we will continue to pour our heart and souls into 300 Raceway just as he had.
Please come out on August 12 to our next weekly race and August 14 & 15 for the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Farley Nationals and fill the grandstands, in honor of Roger.
