Ron Cooper Death | Ron Cooper Obituary – It is with great sadness that I write to inform you of the passing of Flying Officer (ret) Ron Cooper.
Ron was 98 years old, a veteran of the RAF and of Bomber Command after serving in 37 Squadron during the Second World War. After completing his own pilot training in America he flew missions in Egypt, Italy, Germany and the Middle East in his beloved Wellington Bomber, the ‘Wimpey’. Towards the end of the war, he then went on to teach recruit pilots in Jordan and Palestine.
He was immensely proud of serving the RAF and his country and was a regular visitor to RAF Cosford where they continue to work on conserving a Wellington Bomber. His family hope, like he does now, that one day it will fly again.
We mourn with the family of Ron Cooper for this great loss. Please received our heartfelt condolences.
For every start of a journey, there must be an end. His journey has sadly come to an end on earth.
