
Mathew Rickis was a Scots Football Player, he was 18 as at the time of his death.
He is also known as Matty, he played for Broxburn Athletic Colts Football Club.
He died in a tragic waterfall accident.
TRIBUTES:
The Football Coach who worked with him said: “I Was devastated to hear the news last night. I had the pleasure of coaching Matthew when he came to the club at u17s.
“He was a gifted and skilful midfield player. Aside from his football talents, he was a lovely young man and a pleasure to coach and know.
“Whether playing or training, his love for the game and his teammates always shone through and I’ll miss his cheeky grin when having a laugh with the boys.
“He will be sadly missed by me and all those associated with the 2002 year group.”
Another close friend said “We were together for a short time. In that time you made an impact.
“You were pleasant, fun, thoughtful, kind, a joy to work with and a friend to many.”
