Hartman’s child, Chad, tweeted Sunday evening that “my dad’s exceptional and strong life has arrived at a serene resolution encompassed by his family.”

“It’s a miserable day,” Star Tribune sports editorial manager Chris Carr told the Associated Press. “He is the Star Tribune from various perspectives, in any event in the games office. It addresses his astounding life that even and 100 and a half years old, he dies we actually can barely handle it.”

He kept up his age-opposing movement even after his 100th birthday celebration party on March 15 was dropped as a result of the Covid pandemic. Hartman kept on composing three sections for every week for the Star Tribune as a centenarian, four during football season and filled in as co-host of a Sunday morning public broadcast on WCCO-AM.

Minnesota Viking’s proprietors Mark and Zygi Wilf gave an announcement saying “our hearts are broken with the updates on Sid Hartman’s passing.
