The Queen has pulled out of attending the annual Maundy Day church service, Buckingham Palace has introduced.

‘Their Royal Highnesses shall be offered with nosegays at the beginning of the service, throughout which The Prince of Wales will distribute the Maundy cash.

‘Following the service, The Prince and The Duchess will proceed to the West Steps the place an official {photograph} shall be taken of Their Royal Highnesses and the Royal Maundy get together.
