Trabis Ward, former Tennessee State University running back who was shot dead in Florida on Saturday, October 10, 2020.

He succumbed to death at the age of 31.

Professional Information

Trabis Ward was a native of Fort Lauderdale who played college football with the Tennessee State Tigers between 2009 and 2013.

Trabis Ward attended Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale. In 2013, Ward declared for the NFL Draft and would go on to join the St. Louis Rams.

Ward played for the Tennessee State Tigers for 2 seasons, 2011-2013.

Cause of Death

Trabis Ward was shot dead in Florida on Saturday, October 10, 2020.

The shooting took place around 12:30 a.m. on October 10 at a J&L Liquors store in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida. Investigators are seeking for the unidentified suspects in the shooting.

Ward was found dead in the parking lot of the store. He was transported to Broward Health Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.

The case is being handled by the Broward Sheriff’s Office homicide unit.
