Ruthie Henshall’s mother’s cause of death at the age of 87 was released by the actress who confirmed the heartbreaking news of her mother passing Tuesday afternoon (May 11) on social media. Rest in paradise.

Ruthie Henshall first shared the news on her Twitter account for her followers, only more than a week after opening up about the impact lockdown in a nursing home has had on her mother’s health condition as she campaigned for visitation to become a legal right.

In a series of tweets, the 54-year-old Ruthie criticized the government for performing guidelines that prevented the actress and her family from having human contact with Gloria who deeply needed at the height of United Kingdom quarantine.  

The beloved star was previously speaking on Good Morning Britain on May 4th when she explained how Gloria had deteriorated throughout her spell in the care home.

Ruthie Henshall’s mother’s cause of death was not exactly clarified, although the actress mentioned she had some health problems; however, US day News is working to find more details and the latest updates.

“My beautiful mummy Gloria passed away very peacefully early this morning. I managed to care for her for a few short weeks,” Ruthie Henshall sadly wrote about her mother’s death, adding, “It was my honour and my privilege. If the government had made their guidance law my sisters would have seen her more than a couple of times before losing her.”

The West End star continued, ‘Even recently my sister Susan was doing window visits because she wasn’t able to get an indoor visit for 3 weeks. Spring Lodge, the care home my mother was in, followed the guidance but still, there are care home providers and managers that are not.”

Henshall appeared on the show to say about the Rights For Residents campaign group to pressure the government to make nursing home visitations a legal right, announcing, ‘Before the lockdown, she was walking and talking, had a full conversation the day before my father died.”
