UCL: Eden Hazard caught laughing with Chelsea players after Real Madrid’s 2-0 defeat

Real Madrid midfielder, Toni Kroos, has reacted to Chelsea’s Mason Mount comments in the wake of their Champions League semi-final second-leg defeat on Wednesday.

Chelsea defeated Real Madrid 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, thanks to goals from Timo Werner and Mount.

The Blues will now face Manchester City in the Champions League final later this month.

However, Mount had aimed a veiled swipe at Kroos for his comments ahead of the game, having said that he has never ‘lost sleep’ over an opponent in his career.

“I saw one of their players [Kroos] say before that he doesn’t lose sleep over individuals,” Mount told CBS Sports after the 3-1 aggregate win.

“But I think as a team, they need to lose sleep over us as a team. We give everything and we are so strong together, we defend for our lives.

“You saw that today we don’t give away many chances. We are solid and we need to keep that going.”

Reacting, Kroos, who has won the Champions League three times, wished Mount good luck in the Champions League final.

“Still sleeping ok,” Kross wrote on Twitter on Thursday. “But well done yesterday. Congrats.

“Good luck in your first CL final.”
