Warrant Officer Warren Tindall Death Dead -Warren Tindall Obituary, Cause of Death

Our team are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of a much-loved member of our team.

Warrant Officer Warren Tindall

joined us as Executive Officer in December 2018 in what was to be his final posting in a long and illustrious career in the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF). Warren, affectionately known as ‘Buffa’ by his Air Force colleagues, first enlisted in the RNZAF in 1980. He gave an extraordinary 40 years of dedicated service as a supply operator, then Air Loadmaster with No. 40 Squadron RNZAF, serving on operations across the world, including more than 50 flights to Antarctica on the C-130 Hercules. Since 2005, he had been based in Christchurch, initially as the Deputy Detachment Commander of the RNZAF Air Movements terminal at Harewood, and later, a stint at Defence Recruiting, before joining the Museum.

We know that Warren was highly regarded by many, and we are honoured to have had him as part of our team. Equally, we know that the Museum and our people held a special place in his heart. Kind, patient, humble, and always concerned for others before himself, Warren will be deeply missed. Our love and support are with his wife Jacqueline and family at this time.
